gmMachine::Init() did not re-create the global table. Calling ResetAndFreeMemory() followed by Init() to re-initialize the machine would cause a crash. This bug was introduced with v1.2 and the incremental GC code changes.

The solution is to add the following line in gmMachine::Init()

m_global = AllocTableObject();


This change will appear in a future release. Another way to reset the machine completely is to delete and allocate a new one. Also, multiple gmMachines can exist and operate at the same time (with awarness of certain threading issues).

NOTE: I don't think manually resetting the machine this way was planned well, otherwise the functions would likely be named differently and there would likely be control over the release of memory pools as it may be desireable to keep the memory pools allocated. A future version will provide greater control over internal memory pools.
