I'm currently leveraging a lot of different technologies for my little game engine such as Ogre, RakNet, Bullet and now of course, GM. I'm intending my engine to be used show of my technical skills and maybe, at some point release a small indie game.

As such, I would like my engine's splash screen, a sort of "built using" affair to feature the logo of all of the 3rd party libraries that I use. It's my way of supporting all of the great stuff that people develop and release to the public without charge, aside from making cash donations, should I ever make any money :)

So....is there a GameMonkey logo that can be used for this sort of thing?

No official logo. I've always wanted one - but I'm no artist :(

As Downgraded said, afraid not. We had a friendly artist do some concepts a long time back but work turmoil got in the way and nothing was completed.

Having said that, if you know a talented and friendly artist willing to donate such a logo, you could put one forward. As you suggest, a logo can help raise awareness of GM. My thought would be something cute, happy, coding related, monkey-ish, but hey, surprise us.

Yea a monkey banging a keyboard or something with some stylized font would be perfect imo.

I liked it, until I saw the pig comment and thought "oh yeah, oink oink".

Maybe if the "face" patch was a little bigger, allowing the eyes to be in-line with the top of the ears a bit more, and showing less forehead, it might be close to what you're aiming for, Mitch?

I don't know which colours are preferred so I just went with orange.

I think that looks less swine-like :) Maybe it's a good time to put it to the GM maintainers/users and see if they'll want to use it!
