MXML was written for games, mainly I wanted it to be small, fast, have memory hooks, and support streaming. I wrote it instead of using tiny mainly for speed and desired stream interface. Since then, I've added UTF8 support which slowed it down a little, but it was faster and more featured than tiny back when I wrote it. Have a play.

I gave this a test ride while sitting here at work using Win2k Pro. There were numerous times that the test that was included caused explorer to crash because of an invalid memory address it was attempting to access. I'll give it another go at home on a couple more machines to see the results. Do you have any other example projects using MXML?

Hmmm, not good. I have never tried this with Win2k, only ever XP. I can't think of a Win2k machine I could test it with either. I don't have other example projects using MXML that I can give, although I have used it extensively on different consoles for a whiles now. I'd be very interested to see whats up tho, any chance of a callstack? I'll try dig up some memory tools to see if its stomping but that would surprise me cause its been used in projects with mem stomp detection before. Lemme know how you go with the other machines.

Testing on XP machines works without problems. I won't be able to try again on win2k until tonight.

After one hour of playing with this library and getting completely no where, I feel stupid. I haven't worked with XML libraries of this kind, and I'm confused at how to grab values or set them. Sorry if this is a bad question, but I need some help.

I've executed the test.exe [debug build] program on both Windows XP SP2 and Windows 2000 SP4 and didn't have any problems. Seems to work ok. The build was done on a Windows 2000 machine.
